Bio A third year student who transfers to Rainbow Hills Public Middle School from France during April Fools, but gets more focus later. Due to her family being of a plutocratic background, she has a bit of a princessy attitude and looks down on the Cures at first, to the point of attempting to "improve" them. She starts out acting like a whiny, selfish spoiled brat towards the Cures and butting heads with Nao, but eventually becomes more selfless and warms up to them, and somewhat gets along with Nao despite their social differences. Despite her behaviour and personality early on, Houji takes a liking to her, and becomes one of the catalysts she needs to go through with changing her ways.

Cure Triumph is Kaede's Pretty Cure alter ego, earned after she, thanks to the Cures and Houji, learns that a true hero's worth is not on their lifestyle but on their actions. Her Pretty Cure costume is noticeably different from those of the other Cures', including more lace and feathery edges.
